Our mission statement...

We have begun the process of cultivating North Brent School’s identity in our community by regularly updating the students and future teachers on our progress. We have started by establishing our vision and as a committee we worked collaboratively to create the most exacting mission statement, ‘Nothing But Success’. We presented our personal views and support of the mission statement in an assembly to a large audience. The mission statement was conceived and developed by Dr Bonelli’s committee. We considered effective examples of other successful mission statements and we came together to each create our own. Eventually we merged the concepts together to make the statement. It was difficult as we knew this task has a long legacy and it is a task is often given to adult leaders but we valued the opportunity to have such a significant responsibility.

Building a community...

Although North Brent School students have been at Wembley High Technology College since 2020, real progress, both in terms of the physical building of the school and the school, was made in January 2022. A new Head of School, Dr Bonelli was appointed and since then our school development has been progressing at a rapid pace.   Dr Bonelli has established a small student committee where she discusses next steps with us and gives us a space to explore and discuss ways of overcoming any barriers we are facing. We as students are really proud to be a part of this school and are glad to have our voices heard.   As a part of our responsibility of the committee, we began considering a mission statement for the school. Each committee member prepared his/her own set of mission statements for our school inspired by other examples. After our collaboration, Dr Bonelli merged our ideas to form the final mission statement which she presented in our assembly on 4th March. Students were invited to raise their hands to show if they agreed with the precepts of the mission statement. We had a majority! We then had the opportunity as members of the North Brent School committee each say a few words, which we were honoured to do.
