Following parental demand, Wembley Multi-Academy Trust (WMAT) is delighted to open North Brent School in September 2020 on Wembley High Technology College premises.
Welcome to the North Brent School, the newest school in the Wembley Multi-Academy Trust. North Brent School has been set up to have the same values, ethos, expectations and standards as Wembley High Technology College and East Lane Primary School. The school provides parents with an opportunity for their child to be educated in an extremely well lead and successful Trust. Both of the established schools in the Trust have been rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted.
The school opened its doors in September 2020 when our first Year 7 cohort began their secondary school journey with us. Currently accommodated on the Wembley High school site, our pupils are taught alongside Wembley High students and are exposed to same teaching which has resulted in Wembley High Technology College regularly being placed in the top 5 state schools in the country. Our 2020 cohort has thrived in this environment and have relished the academic rigour and disciplined environment which is evident across all the schools in the Trust.
With the high level of academic challenge comes an exceptional level of support. Each year group has a dedicated Year Leader whose job it is to cater for each child’s pastoral needs. The Year Leaders are supported on a daily basis by the tutor team who meet and greet each of their tutees every morning. During tutor time, students of the North Brent School are expected to engage in a comprehensive spiritual, moral, social and cultural development programme (SMSC) to ensure that, as well as producing academically able students, we also produce well rounded citizens equipped to face an ever-changing world. Key messages about keeping safe, personal development, careers advice, third level education and British Values are shared with students on a daily basis.
Our new facilities in Neasden will provide the optimum environment for our learners in modern, airy classrooms. They will have access to cutting edge ICT facilities and top-class sports facilities. The strong work ethic and good learning habits established on the Wembley High school site will be invaluable to our students when we transition to our new facilities at the Neasden site.
In the meantime, I look forward to welcoming our 2021 cohort in September and continuing the expansion of our school community. If you have any questions about the school, its ethos, teaching methods or if you simply wish to receive further information about applying for a place at the North Brent School, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us by emailing NBS@whtc.co.uk.
We look forward to working with parents and students to continue to develop an outstanding educational setting which serves the community of North Brent well over the coming years.
